Look for a Get Golf Ready lessons in your area. $99 for 5 lessons. I took the Get golf ready 2 class. The GGR1 is for beginners. If you have knowledge of the game the GGR2 course is the one to take.

I probably would have shot a lower score than I did, but I played a course I have never played. Their tee signs just had the number, no info on what was ahead. The score card didn't have any pictures of the course. I was shooting blind.

I golf. My favorite course near the Twin Cities is the Refuge in Ham Lake. Ok, Ham Lake isn't very close to the TC, but as you golfers know, 45min drive isn't bad if the rates are good and the greens are nice and soft.

My season is over, however. I can't golf with a jacket on. I also get windburn in my eyes. Maybe I'm just a pussy. Doesn't matter anyhow, I could barley brake 90 all summer.

Oh, I play shitty Nike Clubs that literally make a swoosh noise when I swing. I have crappy WalMart drivers. But, I have a brand new Ping G4 hybrid (my go-to club), Titleist SW, and Odyssy Putter. I'm good for not on clubs until my score is a bit more respectable.

    Cheers!

I just bought an Izzo Swami 3000 golf gps. One without the monthly service fees. Payed $83 on Amazon with free shipping. It came yesterday

I will try it out on Saturday. I'm tired of playing courses poorly marked or try to search for markers giving me the distance. I researched & found this to be a good one. I will test it & report back.

Tried this out Saturday. It is fantastic & dead on accurate. I believe this helped my game tremendously. I shot a 95. If it wasn't for 3 bad holes (on my part), I would have shot in the 80's. I had 3 pars & was bogie golf on the rest. I'm looking forward to using it every time I play.

It is very easy to use & the battery lasts 12hrs. I set the location to center of the green for every hole. It gives you the option to do: Front, center, or back.

You will be happy you did. I'm looking forward to playing again this week.

I was tired of playing courses poorly marked. Best part of this gadget, it is affordable & no monthly fee. I did alot of research before buying this one. I looked at range finders, but they had bad reviews. Some of the other GPS models were pricey $300-$500 & then a monthly service fee ontop of the high purchase price.

Anyone using Golphus.com for keeping track of your scores & handicap?

I started using it recently, it is free to use.

If you don't already have them.

Great place to get golf club labels. I ordered some & had them the next week. I had them put my name, cell phone & email address on them. So if I accidently leave a club on the golf course, it can find its way home.

I've never lost a club. But best to be safe than out a few hundred bucks. I have a buddy that has left a club 3 times in the last few months. I bought him a set of labels when I ordered mine & my Son's.

I played Innsbruck golf course in Helen,GA saturday. Nice mountain course. I would like to play it again. Tough course. Saw a dozen wild turkeys on the course.

    I play
    Mizuno MP 33's PW - 3 Iron
Wedges are Titleist Vokey 54 degree with 10 bounce and 60 degree with 4 bounce
3 and 5 woods are Mizuno MP 001
Driver is Titleist 905R 10.5 degree with Pro Force V2 shaft
Putter is a Cleveland blade putter

    Backup's
Have a Mizuno MP 001 Driver 8.5 degree. I hit that when I am playing well and need a few extra yards
Ping Answer putter. I hit that when I am struggling with the other putter.

Snow here but cant wait until spring. Don't really have a home course as I like to play all kinds but some great courses up here in the Rockies if you ever come up for vacation. Do not hesitate to ask if you are coming up to this area.
