Played Great Blue at Heron Lakes yesterday, shot an 83, overall I was satisfied. Ball striking was poor but scrambled well. Had two triples and still played decent for the most part.

I shot a 93 at Willamette Valley Country Club. That included 2 8s and 2 water balls (not on the same holes)

Played again yesterday. Started off pretty terrible. I was +13 through the front 9. I had a lot of miss hits from around 170 yards. It was a little windy and my 9i was carrying roughly 160 so my 7/8/9 were all about the same with the wind yesterday. It threw me off a bit. I had some great chips and even holed out a chip from 60 yards that i about lost my mind on.

Driving was OK, i still slice right after about 250 yards. I need to video my swing and see whats going on because sometimes itll go dead straight and others it will slice right. I set my Callaway xhot2 driver to Draw and -1 degree and the second half my driving was dead on and 280-310. Second half i finished only +7. While its not a great overall score i played pretty good, its still early in the season for me here so ill take it.

So i shot a 92/72. +20 is pretty bad overall but the second half was a lot nicer. I want to get under 80 by the end of this summer if not less.

Nice set up Rowd! I love my aero burner driver. Picked up the new Callaway XR irons a couple weeks ago. I am legit one club length long and more accurate that my old Taylor made irons.

I've got my second of 4 lessons today. Haven't taken one since I first learned how to play at 7. He fixed my grip within 5 minutes. Now I can hit a baby draw with my irons!

I need lessons. I've managed a 6 handicap and never ever had a lesson. I'm sure the smallest fix will be just what I need.

I just need to golf more. At one point I was down to a 10 handicap. Now my goal is to stay under 100. I never have time to golf at regular intervals so it's extremely hard for me to adjust little things in my game and get consistent results.

My grip is so screwy. I'm right handed and with my right index finger and thumb I make a circle and touch the finger-tips. I don't put them on the shaft. I don't know why I do it....

I'm in Florida, I need to work less and play more. I have no excuse!

So you hold the club like a bat?

I've always been shown on a right handed grip that the left thumb should be in the pocket under the base of the right thumb, and the right thumb should be slightly to the left of center on the club to keep the head straight on impact.

I interlock my left finger and my right pinky... But the right finger and thumb are off the shaft and the tips are touching.

The first part I've seen done. I do it for my putting grip.

The last part would be super awkward to me. Have you tried buying a practice club with a grip trainer? They are commonly available for under $50 and could help you get used to a more standard grip.

I haven't. But it's something I think about when I hit a good or bad shot. I'm gonna get lessons this summer. I'm sure that's the first thing they fix
