I just got back from Scotland in the beginning of August. Played Trump International, Carnoustie, St Andrews (Old/New/Jubilee), Nairn, and Royal Dornoch.

Such an incredible place... I'm only a month and a half out and already trying to plan another trip back. I knew it was going to be good but the entire trip totally blew my expectations out of the water.

    DSC_0034-2.jpg
DSC_0026-2.jpg Carnoustie was brutal the day we played it... we got hit with a horrible storm and 40+ mph winds. Ruined the playing experience a bit as all you could do was limp and struggle around the course.. Our caddies said they hadn't seen it play that brutal in years. All the grand stands were still up which was really cool. They're bigger in person.

Trump Scotland, one of the coolest courses I've ever played in my life. Was too nervous about taking my camera on the course as rain can come in the blink of an eye.

I am going to try and go back for my 45th and play the West Coast courses + North. Hopefully Coul Links is open by then. I had a horrible caddie at Carnoustie that kinda ruined it for me. Of all the ones I played it would be the one I skipped on the next trip glad I played it once, but that was enough. North Berwick in East Lothian was probably one of my favorite lesser named if not one of my top courses from the trip. Incredibly awesome from start to finish. Overall played 8 rounds in 5 playing days and a couple sightseeing days.

Also I am in AZ and played all the best that there is to play out here. I have put together a pretty extensive AZ travel thread on the golf forum I belong to under the same username. If anyone has questions on all things AZ golf feel free to reach out.

It honestly depends hotel vs bnb vs airbnb is quite a significant difference. Playing nothing bit open rota courses vs mixing in hidden gems also plays a factor. There's a ton of great golf over there for sub 100 pounds. Also a lot well over that. Safe bet 5-10k for 7 days maybe less if get good flight and cheap lodging. Found food cost to be very reasonable same with beer and whisky

Leave in the morning for Hawaii. Kapalua Plantation booked for Tuesday. Big fan of Coore/Crenshaw. My favorite local track is done by them and have 100+ rounds out there.

Except this hole 508 yard par 4 plays into the prevailing wind. Have to carry the ridge at 265 to have a snowballs chance of hitting the green.

Unfortunately my phone conked out on me and this is the only photo I have from a few years ago but I interned at the PGA TOUR HQ in Ponte Vedra as well as worked The PLAYERS and Dell Match Play in Austin,TX and got to play both courses at TPC Sawgrass. Shot a 91 on Stadium and 88 on Dye's Valley, wish I still had the picture of where my ball landed on 17 island green...the walkway so technically i was dry but not on the green:rofl:

For both me and my father I believe we did it in 8k or something around there, but we also went to Amsterdam and London. I bet you could get it done for under 5.

It might seem expensive but if you love golf it's worth every penny. Truly a life changing experience that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I've only played in Florida (born and raised here also only 25) but I can say it's the best and hardest I have played, better than PGA National in WPB (Honda Classic). But people who I have worked with said its up there on top courses from around the country. Also it's always fun playing on a PGA TOUR course and you have to really keep things straight off the tee cause the course is relatively tight and the rough is not fun to be in. Playing with a caddie definitely helped me score better than i should have giving tips on where land balls and on the greens, hope to get back there and play the new renovations they completed last year.
