I just picked up a Byron this summer off of the WRX BST.

Quite a bit heavier that I was used to but instantly replaced by scotty as my gamer. :)

My Byron is 352g which is about what I prefer the Scotty with 6 strips of lead tape is still a bit light at around 340g. The Byron is the one club that will never leave my possession.

Douche Bag is a understatement. I remember watching the end of the Master's this year and thinking

Shit no one applauded for Reed.

Dude had his parents escorted out of a US Open where they had to buy their own tickets to watch.

I don't think Spieth really wanted to play with Reed as much as he was forced to. And Reed got butt hurt about it.

To be honest with you as a fan of the Ryder Cup I was tired of seeing Reed & Spieth playing every stinking round together.

Yea the dude has some issues for sure. To ban your own parents from your tournaments just cause, man get out of here with that. Grow up, handle your shit like a man. Own up to the childish bullshit from your past and let shit go with your parents. Apparently, they haven't been on speaking terms for almost 5-6 years because they disagreed with how he treated them compared to his in laws. As mentioned, he really has no friends on or off the course, his caddie is his own brother in law cuz he treated his last one so bad he quit. Honestly though I think it is a damn shame cuz the dude can straight up play. One of the most excited golf events I have ever watched was when he and Rory battled it out 2 years ago at the Ryder. The energy and atmosphere that was created during that was seriously something of legends! Shot for shot, putt for putt, one of the all time greatest matches!

Did a quick search for golf on here, hoping this is truly the “official” thread.

Starting to get into golf here in Hawaii. Had a cheap hand me down set and finally decided I was playing enough to upgrade.

Found this Callaway set on OfferUp, bartered down to $325. The set is pretty much unused. The bag still had tags, the grips were fresh, some clubs still had the plastic wrap and barcode stickers on them. Didn’t think I could pass them up so I pulled the trigger and got them.

Played a few times with them now, but I’m becoming more aware the clubs don’t fix your swing.

Looking for any tips and/or practice drills to get better.

Callaway x2hot driver, Callaway Xhot irons, Callaway xhot 3 and 4 wood, Nike putter, jack nickalus 5 wood, and a unbranded SW.

    Thanks!

Ben Hogan’s 5 fundamentals of golf is a great book to read for beginners. Once you understand the fundamentals of the golf swing I think the Pro from Top Speed Golf explains how to lag the club and swing effortlessly which in my opinion makes the swing great. My advice to beginner golfers is to learn to swing the club not hit the ball. When you try and hit the ball hard you can create a terrible swing full of bad habits.

Played PGA National Champion course in WPB last weekend, great course. Did not find the “Bear Trap” too challenging went E thru the 3 holes par, birdie, bogey. A92BD659-7BA9-4653-A112-241046B7DB78.jpg

So jealous. Also remember the pro's are playing from about 50-100 yards farther back depending on hole. It's crazy how course set up can completely change a track too.

I played from Golds and the yardage was around 10 extra yards on the 2 par 3's and then maybe 20 for the par 4 so yes they do play from further back but as a 12ish handicap its a wash playing 1 tee up IMO, obviously pin placement as well as conditions were easier compared to week of the Honda Classic.

Glad to see Charles Howell win the RSM Tournament today. Dude has always had a great swing just didn't have
the closing power for wins. Those guys play for so much money I think most of them don't even care about wins
    anymore.

I’d watch it for free. I’m not a fan of TW so I won’t pay for that reason alone.

Considering the PGA limited the side bets I knew going in it wouldn't be the spectacle it was being built up to be. However, I loved it. The comradery they had, the little jabs back and for and just the overall conversations were fun to listen in on. I hope they expand it from here on out and make it into a yearly thing. I would like to see it turned into like the NBA allstar game. Let Tiger and Phil battle but also let them pick a team of say 4 and turn it into a mini USA/USA Presidents cup type of deal. I paid for it this time(yet got a refund due to clerical errors) and I will pay for it again if it returns.

I thought it was a great match, 7-10 years too late? sure, but it ending with sudden death on the "19th hole" under the lights was fantastic. People complaining about it being bad golf don't understand golf at all, they just expect 2 golf greats to hit within 2 feet of the hole every time not to mention match play is more of a strategy/mental game than normal stroke play. Plus a normal tournament and 1v1 $10 million match are completely different in so many aspects for them.
