My diet was shit after my wedding. We decided to say fuck it til the new year. Trying to get back on track now. Not counting cals or macros yet. Just cleaning it up first and not eating Reese’s every day at lunch or a sleeve of oreos when we get home....

Trying to slowly ease back into the diet thing.

Those would probably be nice for lifting. For running if I have to control via my phone kind of a hassle and I’m super paranoid about dropping a ear bud and have to scour the forest floor to find it haha.

Not gonna start the new year with carnivore?

Feeling good starting my last heavy week before this comp. Worked from empty bar to RPE 6 for 3 reps, then was supposed to work up to and hit RPE 9. I think my top set at 550 was right around there, maybe 8-8.5, but I'm happy. I hate SSB but this felt great.

What’s the part you hate? Having to get your elbows out the way for your knees ? Lol. Atleast it makes for sick videos with stacked plates.

I hate that yes. I also hate the position it puts me in at the bottom and how I feel more hunched over.

Novice comp weight axle= 185. Axle for easy reps=187lbs. Ended up just running out of breath lol. Damn cleans with a belt can get rough.

204lbs body weight . Novice class allows up to 231lbs but going to drop down to 200 for the weigh in just in case I change my mind last minute and go open.

Excellent, in fact, “perfect,” in the doctor’s words. No surgery needed. Ankle is stabilizing nicely and the x-rays show the bone is healing and pulling itself back together. It was actually pretty cool to see the healing on the x-ray. He put the first x-ray and the one they took yesterday side-by-side, and the healing was visible even to my untrained eye. The spots where it was healing where much denser and not quite as translucent as compared to the rest of the bone. They looked more like white spots as opposed to the rest of the bone being grey. Again, pretty cool.

I am in the boot for another 4 weeks with another follow up then and on crutches for at least another two. Dr. wants me to wait until I get off crutches to go back to any type of lifting.

    Good!

Crutches are the worst part. Hopefully the 2 weeks goes by quickly.

Ima see how I feel day of weigh in. Might switch since the open class is pretty small and one of the competitors is my buddy who is injured lol. Just hate being that guy that asks to switch then ask to switch back

Don't let the big kids bully you. You do whatever you want...if you're going to learn and not win, then it doesn't really matter which class. If you are going to serve your ego, even at this early stage, then do the novice...

Though...if you get handled in the open you have an excuse, but if the novice guys smoke you, you may have to quit. :anonymous:

In my defense... novice is up to 231lbs. While open is just 200.4. I’ll be a tiny guy if most of the novices are at the 230 area. That’ll be my excuse if I lose lol

Powerlifters are strong and impressive. I’ll start off with that. But they’re lucky they only have to be good at 3 lifts. There’s so many lifts to this strongman bullshit

Week has been going super well so far. Got in all my runs in the morning. Monday was my best leg day in a while, Tuesday I added a little weight to my bench, yesterday was a nice rest day. Then today I got in an 8 mile run and have leg day this afternoon.

    So far, so good
