    So I tried removing one of my SR5 badges the other night and I would have to it is not as easy as i've read that it should be, Mybe It would be easier if my truck wasn't 12 years old. Make sure you have lots of extra time and patience when you decide to tackle that.

    I know, not looking forward to it at all. the only reason I'm even considering it is because my "TOYOTA" on the tailgate is missing most of the chrome finish and looks like crap. Figured I would start there and see what happens. If it goes easy enough and the paint underneath doesn't look worse (trucks been garaged most of its life so I'm hopeful there) I'll continue with the rest of the badges.

    I had a heat gun and it was real hot out, its just on a truck this old the adhesive is almost part of the paint now.

    Its real hot out today so I will try it on the other side and let you know how (easy) it is.

    OK I take back my last comment I am actually just really stupid at times. If you use fishing line to remove the badge (I didn't the first time) and it comes off rather easy...
