I will work for beer!!! I actually want to see this and/or help, so if I ever do it myself (And I will, my shocks and struts are done) it will maybe be a little easier. But you were kidding :(.

You're a college student, sooo typical...;)

If you are going to be swapping out the suspension soon too I can ask if you can tag along. Shop etiquette and all...we'd be invading this guy's commercial shop/garage so I'd have to get the OK from him. He seemed shocked when I told him that I wanted to help and I'm not sure if its because I'm a girl or if its a territorial type issue.

YEP!!!. But by the time you get them, I may not be anymore.

As soon as I have a job that I can afford to, or get the parents to help with it ... while I still can.

if they haven't gotten you a graduation present yet now might be the time to start dropping hints!

True... But I think my graduation present is the money to go on a cross country road trip with my roommate and his brother. So I think the suspension can wait, it's about the only chance I have to do something like this before 2050 if we make it past 2012. Unless I say it is for my safety .

is it the Blacktail Rd that leaves from Lakeside off Hwy 93? Trying to find it on my map...I have both my MT Atlas & Gazetteer and MT Road and Recreation Atlas here now.

Just my $.02 but I would suggest only going on roads that at least one person has traveled on recently, just so we know what we're getting into! Unless you want to scout it out for us.

Ummmm. That trail is not on either of my maps and from what I'm seeing on Google Earth there are no roads in that area.

The GPS Coordinates put it on the Flathead Indian Reservation. So that might not help much.

    or they die trying!

I'm chalking this one up to don't believe everything you see on the internet.

If you want good maps of MT pick up the two I mentioned earlier - they run about $20 to $25 a piece and have great info.

I do know of a few good trails in the Absarokee/Stillwater Mine area.
    Benbow Mine
    Picket Penn
Both are technical in some places. Never taken my truck on them (pops has 4 wheelers), but they are definitely doable in a stock Tacoma. Then there's Flathead Pass here, not super difficult but definitely takes a fine throttle and LT rated tires.
