Must have shot 150 images of these mountain bluebirds whilst at the Grand Canyon this week.
These are untouched unedited images - they should clean up nice..

Few more images from the canyon. The air was full of particulates and pollution I ended up going BW on a few of these.
Never really played with BW as a medium but I kinda like it.

So for those who live in/around Phoenix you'll know this is gospel:
We've had like 110+ consecutive days of 100+ degree weather this summer, with 60+ days at 110 or better.

Other than running out for food I have been mostly sitting in the house -

But today the high was a chilly 92 degrees..... time to get out the sweaters !

Even the birds are happy, and I spied this fellow on the fence eyeing our dead and dried up attempt at a garden this year,
swooping down to score seed and whatnot. Thought the colors were cool on this fellow.

ps: image is much nicer on my 24inch monitor - like these uploads degrade the image or something?

Pretty sure the upload severely degrades quality. I’ve noticed a lot of images I upload that look super sharp on my screen are nowhere near as good once displayed on the forum.

Yea this is true on another site I'm on and on Instagram as well. Kinda stinks as the image I uploaded is really nice on my monitor.
It's only like 300k these sites must be resizing down to 1k or something stupid.

Resizing and color profiles are the biggest reasons images look like crap. I am a fan of Pro Photo when editing but for posting on the web, sRGB or Adobe RGB are your best bet when sharing.

Managed to get a 1/5 second shutter handheld shot to turn out decent. I didn’t bring a tripod on this work trip and wanted to try to smooth out the motion of the tide on the rocks.
