    Hmm, looks like the recovery was turned up really high. The one thing for me, i probably wouldnt have cut the stop sign out. Or have no stop sign and off set the car to the right, its a pretty centered.

    CS5 has some noise reduction filters. However, Something like Noise Ninja, Neat Image or maybe NIK's plugin are better at removing noise.

    If you want to try the CS5 filters, try this.

    You don't have to have a flash to shoot a person, get outside(daylight) and use a reflector!

    or if shooting with a flash, get more distance between the subject and the backdrop...

    and like Brian said, adjust your camera settings, then you can turn down the flash power...

    i shot this pic below with a Canon 550EX flash at about 1/64th power or less... can't remember exactly...

    800 iso, 1/160, f-2.8

    I see what your saying. The flash is an old flash, my mom used it on her old SLR. It works but I honestly don't know how to work the settings on it, so its been more or less trial and error. I really need to get that 50mm f/1.8

    Plus, for your backdrop, some closeups may have been more appropriate. :)



    Oh, and skip out on the 50 f/1.8. That lens is horrible. Save up for the f/1.4. ;)



    Of course, the f/1.8 will be good for practice though.

    I would love to save up and to have the f/1.4 but not doing this to make a living its hard to see putting that into a lens :eek: if i had a good steady income then yeah I could see it. But only working when I can in between school and what not makes it hard to have a steady job.
