    Help me out on this one, these are the same pictures one has noise reduced and regular, I feel that with the noise reduced you lose some of the detail in the figure (by the way I have no idea what it is just a toy figure of some kind). What is you alls opinion?

    WarHammer 40k? I liked the one with the noise reduction but I feel that your lighting was off. To me the background is really bright and over powering the subject of your photo.

    Im pretty sure all noise reduction will cause some loss of detail. If you want clean photos in low light, you need lots of $$$$$

    Correct, using it will slighly blur your image. For that object I'll use a longer shutter instead of bumping up the ISO..

    IIRC it was either at 200 or 400 ISO

    '321 - Your first shot works because the subject is isolated from the background yet the background lets everyone know you're at a baseball game. The white balance looks a little off--maybe too yellow.

    The second, not so much. The player is looking down--no eyes or much of a face.

    I am bummed the focus is off but in my defense, I was throwing the ball and trying to get the camera (1ds mkiii/70-200 f/2.8) back up for the shot. I still like it.

    Got the 50mm in today. Here is a test photo. Not the greatest I know, just ran outside and took it. Love the bokeh im getting now though! :)
