Found a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 for about $600 hopefully I'll get some funds lined up and be able to get it! :woot:

A sample of the Tamron 70-300 lens I was talking about. It's not bad but won't get the job done for what I need.

Sounds good. How's the site coming? I've been spreading the word and trying to get people to submit photos!

So what cameras are you guys using? I am currently borrowing my dads D100. Its a nice camera but im seriously considering this D3100. Do you guys have any suggestions on a camera in the $400 - $600 range? Im also looking at this Nikon AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8g lens.

    I've got a D3100 and I really like it.

That lens is designed for use on a Full Frame camera and on a crop sensor the focal length will be different.

I suggest this lens as it is designed for the DX format and will give the proper focal length

How does long exposures sound for an assignment this week? For thephotooftheweek.com that is.
