That's pretty cool. There's a thread over on dgrin about a UK based photog about some of the steam trains.

There's just one problem and that's the lens flair in the first shot.

Yeah that 11-16 has some flair issues, but it was deal with it or dont get the shot, so I just tried to put the flair where it would minimize the damage. Sometimes the flair adds to the shot (or thats what us tokina guys say... LOL)

    Thx

Three really good images Colin! Love the first for the plane position and smoke in the sky.

Hey Brent, I almost forgot your shots. I like the first one. it's a perspective you don't often see and that's of the observer looking off into the frame.

    Looks a little cold outside.

Other than the size you could have taken this on a P&S if you ask me.

It doesn't make sense at all. I mean I know a handful of my shots i've been pleased with and all the others are meh...but I know for a fact I've got some way better shots than that. It's boring. Nothing going on at all.

    Probably shot on a Hasselblad.

For sure. I don't get it either. My photo teacher was talking about stuff like this the other day.

He sometimes strikes me as one of them  but will turn right around and then bash on em too. It's quite funny. Check out some of his stuff...he likes to shoot film quite a bit.

    This is his blog.

    His site/more of his work.

He's a funny guy but sometimes he strikes me as an idiot

He's not bad at all, he's a pretty good teacher too. Very conceded though. He claims himself the best photographer in our area. its funny cause a girl in my class that considers herself a professional (shot with a powershot then upgraded to a Nikon D5000 and dropped it the first day ) but its funny cause she laughed in his face when he said that and he just looked at her. It was quite hysterical.
