Tomorrow :anonymous: we had to make an online gallery and a statement then submit it.

Yes. Or an online gallery such as pop photo.

What up guys! New to the thread here. I will be posting up some pics pretty soon once I resize them. Hoping to learn some tips and tricks from you big guys. Little about me...I go to Brooks Institute of Photography and have been there for a year in January. Pretty much been learning super technical stuff for now but being able to put our creative edge in the images as well. I hope to get them up here asap, but its my finals week.

A friend of my family just had 3 pictures selected to hang in the "Best Of Nature Photography Show" in the Ordover Gallery in the San Diego Natural History Museum.

    http://www.sdnhm.org/exhibits/ordover/bestofnature.php#add

Here is one of the pics. I can't find the others posted on the internet so i don't want to violate any rights by posting them.

    Nice astro shots!

I hear that NASA has an app that allows you to count the number of meteors. No showers for us--both the bright moon and clouds are in cahoots.

I like the second better than the first. Mostly because the first seems over lit.

    Why 3 'bees? Big room?

    Thanks

Ian, the first is a bit on the overexposed side... the 3 bees were used because the venue was a dungeon. So much that my 7D/24-70L/580EXII had trouble focusing lots of times.

The celing was a dark grey color so I couldn't nuke the ceiling for fill - I ended up pointing the 3 bees at the dance floor and used the 580 on camera for fill (since there was a ton of light fall off the further you got away from the dance floor).
