I think the 24-70 is a much nicer lens.

    It is.
Some tips. Toss 'em if you don't like 'em :D
    • Make sure you have fresh batteries and a ton of spares.
    • Get into a routine for getting ready for shoots.
      • Make a list.
      • Pack your stuff the same way, every time and according to the list. If you need it, you'll know exactly where it is.
      • When you're done with your shoot, review the list. Make additions or subtractions as needed.
    • Charge everything the night before. Make sure your camera batteries are freshly charged. All of them :) (there's nothing like replacing a dead battery with a dead battery--AMHIK). My batteries are numbered too--I start with number 1. Always.
    • Set your base settings on the camera.
    • Format your memory cards.
      • I numbered them and always work from lowest to highest number.
      • Keep formatted cards separate from full cards and keep the full cards with you at all times. Use one of those carrying cases so you don't lose them.
    • During a lull in the action, check your cards--if they're near full, swap.
    • Check your exposure. Often.
    • Always be looking for shots.
    • If you're the second, the 70-200 f/2.8 is a lens for great candids and some sweet bokeh.
I don't shoot weddings (except as a guest) but these are some of the things I do although you might have your own list.

I'm sure you'll do a good job. Best of luck!

I like the glasses. You've got two things going on which is pretty cool.

The the keys and trash can isn't visually interesting and it does not have "leading lines" in the same way the Oakley one does. I'd ask where the lines in the key shot take you--almost nowhere (sorry to be so harsh).

The classic leading line would be a road that goes from one edge and leads you out of the frame or maybe a ribbon of light that leads edge to edge.

Why the Oaks works for me is that the lines take me to the glasses and the glasses reveal a scene.

It's not a classic leading line shot which is why it works so well. Congrats on the "A".

Alright back to pictures...got another question...im on this huge rage with b&w. Im sure you guys have been there. I feel like sometimes the black and white look so much better, but then other times I tell myself it takes away from the picture. Any input on what looks good in b&w and what doesn't? Which looks better of this picture:
