Canon's DX sensors are either 1.5 or 1.6 crop factors, the size difference between full frame and crop sensors

I searched and your camera is a 1.6 crop sensor. You 70-200 effectively becomes 112-320 focal length lens.

Hmmm...thats interesting. I was wondering why it seemed like I didn't lose very much going from the 70-300mm to the 70-200. I guess thats why I assume :notsure:

yep, that is why FX cameras have a crop mode, because it acts like a teleconverter without increasing the f/stop

Nice. So essentially I wouldn't need a 400mm is what you are saying. I just wouldn't want to be a distraction to the golfers.

Yeah, being high schoolers I don't think they'd mind. I was talking to Connor a couple weeks ago, and he mentioned that the PGA was super strict about photography rules and all.

    Eh....true.

    For the lolz. :anonymous:

But no seriously, just for the hell of it. I don't hardly use that lens anymore, my mother uses it with my old camera.

Some recent shots, explored Albany at night (on probably the coldest night yet this year, really need to get some gloves that don't hinder my camera use too much)

Also did a bunch of photos for a friend of his engagement ring for his girl.

more of these shots here http://flic.kr/s/aHsjyBFp2M They're a slightly a bit noisy but, I think they came out given the short notice I had and not being able to borrow lighting kits from the school. I thought we were doing shots of lab equipment as usual for a presentation and he showed up with a ring, bit of a surprise.
