    Just the one light? You might want to consider getting at least 2 of the same kind. The one light is a decent deal tho.

    Yeah, I think it could be a good starter don't you think?

    And it comes with 2 transmitters the guy said he'd throw in which I could hook my other Vivitar flash to and set up on a tripod and have it that way. I may be able to pick it up locally as well too since it is pretty close to me and I'll be heading down that way anyways in a couple days.

    How much time are you spending per photo?

    @pope, what's your budget? Have you thought about some alienbee b800's or b1600's? Are you looking for strictly strobes or speedlights?

    Well to be honest...I really wasn't thinking about buying any lights but when these popped up for $100 I figured I could spring that. Cause I really would like to get a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 VC. And I figured for $100 I could spring for that and the lens. But I don't really have more monies for a really really nice setup.

    Hey Wes, I meant to ask. Ask him if the modeling light works or if it's just missing the bulb. The modeling light can help get the lights set up-not so much on outdoor shoots tho.
