im strongly considering a nex 5n also.. APS-C sensor. good price. 1080p 16mp 7fps (i think) image quality is awesome. and interchangeable lenses...

Panda I know you're way out of my league in photography but I just got my Lumix LX3 in a few days ago and I really like it so far :) I know it's a little older but I got it for a killer deal and just wanted an upgrade with some added features.

Here are just a few pictures messing around.

You buy it online from Adobe/wherever. When you run the install, it will figure out where the original is and install it there.

Hey Jake. I think you are over analyzing your pocket camera requirement :D
Lot of pros using s100 like cameras-not saying don't. Just don't get too hung up on the specs/sensor size.

    Oh got it. Thanks.

I just didn't know how it would know if you already had LR3 or not so you don't wind up paying full price. :p

Actually, it wouldn't even matter. Upgrade is $79, and Student Edition is $79. :p

Thanks for the input guys! Wow, I still have my Acer..haven't opened it yet. I MAY have to go back to Frys tomorrow morning and get a refund, assuming Bestbuy has the laptop Jake posted in stock.

I have yet to watch your tutorial video Jake..I will as soon as I open a laptop I buy :) Getting lightroom 3 for now..will upgrade when I feel my editing skills is up to par with you guys.

    Good plan.

BTW, one thing I thought I'd never want (in a P&S) was a hot-shoe. Turns out that's kinda useful. Nice to have but useful. For example, I used the G10 to do some test shots using a PW. That worked pretty well. Plus a 430 works way better than the on-board flash. And I can use a remote with the G10.

Not to add to the confusion...

BTW, AMD processors totally rock. They run various Linuxes better than their Intel equivalents-faster, cheaper, better bang for the buck. With over a 1000 CPUs in the cluster, maybe 1/2 were AMD and the failure rate wasn't any different than Intel based product. Most were in blade racks.

I wanna say there's a review in this months Shutterbug. I think. Seems to get decent reviews too.

But why would you want that camera as a smaller P&S style camera? With interchangeable lenses, isn't it almost the same as carrying an SLR with all of its accoutrements?
