    yeah it was really bright outside. i dont think i would have been able to use a 30 sec exposure if it werent for the full moon

    Yeah tonight is not the night for really long exposures with the moon being so bright! :) I'll be up at the Observatory again tonight!

    You know a long exposure shot of the Potomac at night with the moon being so bright might actually turn out really cool. I can see a very low shot with a really wide angle lens. lol aww man how I have missed photography! :)

    How wide is your kit lens? Aren't they usually like 17/18 - 55 or something like that? Set that sucker up dude!

    Use a tripod... If you have them use exposure delay feature and self-timer to avoid camera movement. Bracket your exposure. Go out and take some pictures because the moon is freakin' incredible tonight.
