That was a good choice, how long you been shooting? Or just starting?

Unless you know all about Aperature, Shutterspeed, etc then the 60D was a better desicion then the 7D. It should be plenty enough for anything you should need.

Its all good, which one came in the package just out of curiosity?

Yeah, you think the body was expensive, wait till you need new glass  That is where the fun begins.

I bet she is! Lol, you made a good choice choosing Canon, any questions you can PM me and I'm sure others will help as well.

Yeah, you should be safe with those. Decent lenses and a good overall range with both of those

    Decisions, decisions...

Should be home from the horrid desert in a couple months and I'm thinking of getting a couple lenses. I already have the Nikon Holy Trinity (14-24 2.8, 24-70 2.8, 70-200 2.8) and a little 50mm 1.8D prime. So my main thing is, what's next? I'm definitely going for the 105mm 2.8 macro as I always seem to find a use for that. But I think I need a 1.4 prime as well.

    85mm 1.4Gor 35mm 1.4G?

Plus any have recommendations for a decent light stand and umbrella? Hopefully one that won't break easily?

:woot: You wont, the 60D is a VERY good starting/amerature level camera. The 7D is very manual orientated, so it would be a little more difficult to learn

I've also heard that there may just be a 7D 2 as a replacement for the 60d series and 7d series, or vice versa:eek:

That's the thing about the way tech is advancing now, new releases all the time. However, the bang you get for your buck is just ridiculous. Don't have to have the very best latest and greatest to have a good time and create some great photographs...besides, there is soo much to learn and that can be done with just about any decent body and lens.
