Fearnothing - what do you shoot with and what do you use for post processing? some of your images could be brought up a couple of stops higher. just saying

edit: never mind. D800, and LR4. you could brighten up your photos a bit with that setup. do NOT be afraid to push that iso on that D800 ;-)

    here's mine at 1250(@F5) with a d700:

and here's yours at 640(@F1.8) with your D800:

different lighting conditions, but I'm sure you could see the a little difference...

and this one(@F1.8), I would like to see something similar to this at 6400 iso(instead of 1250):

it will incur a little grain, but it is about the MOMENT. and that is what most people will see, not the "quality" of the photo. I'm just trying to give you some C&C since you have some good gear(I know what you got), and like a race car driver, you need(should) to know how to use it

Thank you for the tips, for some odd reason I'm always afraid to turn up the ISO

I try to remember to push the ISO when it is needed

i like B&H for quality and price... and they use paypal so you can finance no interest no payments for 6 months...

for tripod, i like my Slik Pro700DX for its durability and strength... it's heavy though...

but that's what i have my assistant for... haha
