Here are some photos from the NASCAR Race, 6spd I wasn't afraid to turn up the ISO on these photos. I took my camera up to ISO 3200 in the later shots.

(I was trying for a longer exposure shot with this one to show the speed of the cars)

fearnothing - decent shots. glad you pushed that iso, although you could've gone higher. just a tip, you went to the track for the cars, not the audience. how about focusing in on the cars next go around. that means a little bit longer lens, maybe some manual focusing, and drag the shutter to show the true sense of speed=car in focus, everything else not in focus ;). the first fireworks shot, looks like you could have let the shutter open longer, that way you'd get longer trails. I havent shot fireworks yet, but I will coming up real soon by the end of july.

also them engine shots. what exactly are we looking at? looks like a piece of a puzzle with missing pieces. maybe some shots of the whole car, half the car, cockpit shots, tires. get low, get high. try to shoot at a perspective that isnt eye level, especially stuff that isnt eye level

as far as the shots of the cars, it is difficult from our seats to see anything other than whats in front of you. You need a really long lens to get a decent photo of the start finish line or when the cars are in turn 4. I only had my 50mm to work with.

That firework shot I had to use a shutter speed that I could hand hold, as they don't allow tripods in the Speedway.

With the engine shot, I mainly liked the edit.
