the actual photos won't run on the mag's blog for another month or so, so i can't release any sneak peeks... the concept is a fashion editorial with a male model, but ironically, the male model is not-so-model... it's a play on the whole "butter" face... like when someone claims to be a model but you look at them and you're like, "Really?"

Thank you it is a little green with the white balance but the color of the truck looked better with it being slightly green. I'll see what I can do later.

Thank you probably my favorite one I have taken in a while

I had an image in my head when I started cooling it down but it just didn't turn out right. I will warm it up and show you what it looks like.

what do you do to edit your images?

If you use LR4 try using to split tones to create the look you are going for.

With some of my sunset images, I used a red hue to my shadows and a yellowish hue to my highlights and it gave me the look I was going after

 

Do you use mainly LR or photoshop? I have LR4, and I really like the way you edit your photos.

 

I have CS4 do that's what I use.

What I did was made an adjustment layer that was a 'photo filter' and selected the 'cool' filter then just dragged the slider.

I will try split toning. Although to be honest I don't know what that will do for me as I don't really have highlights or shadows to tone. But it's worth a shot lol.

For my sunsets I just in camera under expose it by 2-5 stops depending on how I much color I want.

I use LR4 only, however I will be getting CS6 once I save up some money (I can get it at my school for $169)

I use alot of Split Tones and I heavily use the HSL editor. I will sometimes add a slight vignette to my High Contrast B & W images to make them really pop. But I always keep in mind that starting with a good image file will make things better.

For example my photo of the pier with the sun setting had a bluish sky, but when I used split tones, I made the hue of the shadows red and it transformed the image completely.

 

That's a great looking space.
