I'd LOVE a 10mm-22mm. A friend of mine has a similar lens and I love the wide angle

 

From our burn-pile party at the vineyard yesterday...

 

I'm a big fan of landscapes and sky shots so it fits in perfectly with how I shoot. My next lens is going to be the EF 24-105mm f/4L.

As I've done with my 35mm lenses, and talking to others regarding the kit lenses for the T3 and 60D, no point in wasting money on lenses I'm going to put aside and upgrade regardless. Throw the money at good glass the first time round and call it a day.

been watching this guy every now and then. He comes out with cool tips and reviews on new dlsr's. like the rev. he did on lenses and cam bodies (imo, he is right, a SICK lens can do wonders even on an entry level dlsr).

Good link. I do disagree with his evaluation of the 60d though. He must have some weak ass fingers if he loses the skin on his thumb from using the selector on the back.

 

LMAO!!! you'd be surprised how at times he seems like an EXTREMELY prissy person, but I still like the reviews/tips.

 

So I need some advice. As you know, I have a d700 and 4 lenses. I find myself using my equipment less and less because of the size and weight. Now I am considering selling all of gear and going to the Fuji xpro-1 system. Thoughts?

 

I concur. I doubt he's busted a knuckle taking the shocks of a truck.

Looks interesting for sure. If you're not using it and you think you'll utilize that system more sounds like a solid investment. Me thinks you've already made your mind up, you just want validation.

 

I can tell you I'm no fan of his reviews. He comes off as trying to be one of the cool kids. Not always unbiased in how he reviews products either.

I would read dpreview's comments before his.

 

I just dont have a cropped version on flickr...But some of the sky is getting cropped a bit. My mother picked up photography a while back and has gotten pretty good with Lightroom and told me she would get it printed for me for my first apartment. she is gonna see about evening it up a bit for me. I will also be trying to see if I can do any good too.

Yes I know a wide lens will definitely end up in my kit. Im interested in seeing how all my bad ass FD lens do too. Granted it'll be a bit different due to the adapter but should merit some cool stuff.

 

I'd wait. But that's just me. Or make it a compliment to what you have today.

 

What type of photo editing programs do you guys use?

I'm dual booting with windows 7 and linux mint, i use Gimp on linux and like it. Guess i'm just wondering if anyone else uses it or whats best/better

 

Adobe Lightroom 4 for basic edits. Anything that I want to do more intensive editing to I use Photoshop CS6.

Did a re-edit. I think it might be a little over done though. Nonetheless I want some feedback. Different then what I posted a couple pages back.
