Thanks guys! I had it on aperture priority mode the whole time, maybe because they weren't moving as fast as adults out in the field and was able to capture the moment? If I get a chance to go back out, since I work every Saturday :(, I'll use shutter priority and see how that pans out.

yea from the few sporting things i have done. I have had much more success shooting shutter priority then aperture.

Same. This is where a faster lens sure helps though.

Hey guys, I'm going to Jerusalem this Summer. (Didn't happen last Summer so I hope the trip doesn't get messed up this year) and haven't brought my camera overseas for a trip like this. I'll be taking photos of landscapes and architecture as well as people and who knows what else. I'm thinking the typical set of a wide, prime normal, and tele?

I have a Crumpler 5MDH bag that fits the body and three lenses so I'm bringing three.

    10-24
    35 f/1.8
    70-300 or 85 f/1.8 to save weight/space?

Obviously the 70-300 is more versatile by a long shot but the size difference and speed difference is why I'm considering the 85. 1.8 is nice compared to 4.5-5.6.

    Input?

Also, I have a crop sensor, so the 35 and 85 are equivalents of 52.5 and 127.5. A little more reasonable reach for a "tele" equivalent. That's really my only debate is between the 70-300 or 85.

I also have a 50mm, and 16-85 available for my use but am not really considering them at this point over the ultra wide and primes that I love.

Len's look great. But im gonna sugest something else for you.

I bought a Pelican 1510 case and it is PERFECT for a camera case. Pick an pluck foam lets you design it just how you want. Its a small case so easy to carry and fits in overhead flight storage. Also has wheels and a pull out handle. Plus...its a freaking Pelican case..haha So its freaking everything proof. Its also not super expensive..for a pelican case..like 150ish. Id highly recommend it for your trip or anyone really that fly's with a DSLR. Im confident you could fit a body and up to 6 lenses if don't right depending on size or a couple bodies and a couple lenses.

    Just a thought.

I wonder if those two internal plastic tabs need to be pushed to clear something. I would take it in to a pro to be honest if I wasn't having any success in pushing it back together myself.
