Yeah, I wasn't planning on upgrading the body for sure. I was just asking what makes more of a difference between the lens and body. I did research for about 3 months before I bought my camera. That's how I am with everything I buy.

 

Right on man. Do you only have the 18-55mm lens?

 

Yeah that's all I've got.

 

Next buy for me was the 35mm f/1.8

Easily still one of my favorite lenses (Nifty-Fifty equivalent)

little off topic, but why do they pinch shut their nose.

 

keep water from going up there. They often get dunked.

 

The light out there was killing me. Constantly changing with the morning sun and part of the course being in the shade. They would start in shade and then get into partial light. Then next thing you know here's full sun. omg!

I did however tell myself no auto of any sort today. I shot 150 shots today all on full manual. Funny how I'll get lazy and go to shutter or aperture priority so I don't have to think as much. I've always liked how the pics come out better when you control everything yourself and shoot your own style.

Ok, I'll shut up now. Just went rambling there.

 

nice man! i haven't never done a shoot in full manual..only start shot attemepts and night shots do i do that..pretty cool.

they look good but i believe you on the light! haha

 

So anyone heard of the new nikon camera? My dad is kind of considering it. Good, bad? Any reviews personally?

Lol. I think it's cool that they're bringing a classic looking camera with the specs it has. I personally wouldn't get it for professional shooting. I think he should keep his D4 honestly. He doesn't like the size. I told him to just get the 610 and be happy.

Yep. Like I said, I like it, but I personally wouldn't get it.

 

Lol. I told him to just use his tripod if he doesn't like holding the D4 for more than 3 seconds. That D4 is the best camera he has ever owned. I wouldn't sell it.

 

Idk why, but the past week he went into this saving money thing so he wanted to sell his D4, get a different camera, make some money. I told him he's crazy because he won't have another chance to get a D4

 

^^^Not impressed. Yeah it has the D4 sensor but they have shut the video off in firmware. Yeah it looks retro (Hipster) but it's huge compared to film camera's. If they were going for the retro style they should have figured a way to put a aperture ring on it for the "G" lenses. Of course I can see the older nikon lenses getting bought by the guys that get a Df too to complete the look. Personally I'd get the D800 for that much money.
