Lol. Now that I look at it more, I kind of think they are birds. But not 100% sure.

Skinned up Whiteface today and brought my camera for the first time! They had the World Cup Freestyle runs today. I was standing next to a guy that had a lens on his camera longer than my skis lol I felt a little out of place.

Nice photos. I noticed the first one is a little dark. It may sound counter-intuitive but in super bright scenes like a sunny/snowy day bump your exposure up about a stop and see what it looks like. The camera is reading the scene as "middle grey" and trying to bring it down a notch since it's so bright out. By turning the exposure up when it's bright out or down in say a dark auditorium you get closer to what your eye actually sees rather than what the camera thinks it should look like.

just received my manfrotto tripod (190xprob sticks + 496rc2 ball head) via fedex this afternoon... so stoked! what a pain it's been trying to find flat and level resting places for night/slow-shutter shots.

I own that very bag. It's definitely awesome for the price when you consider how much the Lowepros cost. I never could figure out how to use that quick access flap for the camera but in looking at the pictures in that link I might have to try that and see if it works out for me. The construction is pretty solid. I've had this bag for almost a year now and it's holding up pretty well. Only complaint is because the camera sits high in the bag it's a little prone to toppling over. Just mostly plan on laying it on its back. Otherwise I'm pretty happy with it.

Does that bag only hold the camera and one lens besides the computer?

My Lowepro Flipside 400aw was only $109 a few weeks ago from B&H. They aren't that much more. I actually almost wish I had gone for the Flipside 500 for the extra room.

I'll try to remember to post pics later of my configuration but I'm able to fit the camera with a lens on it, my 50mm, 70-300mm, flash, and all sorts of other crap. If I took out all the other crap I could easily fit 3 more lenses. Then you also have the laptop, side pouch for filters and front pouch where I usually put all my pocket crap (keys, wallet, cell, etc).
