Thanks, I feel the same way, I got them to meet me later than they originally wanted (they were from out of town so had lots of visiting to do). so I had to work with what I had.

Thanks for the input. 1.The crop might not be a bad idea. I have alot with them close so in some of the images I wanted to include more of the barn if possible.
    2. I will def try some of that. and in some cases I dont mind the blow out

Really wasn't bad, you can find them on sale all the time. just not local.

Same here down the road I ll prob get 1 set of 32GB, I wanted at least 2 sets, since my cam holds 2.

also, Mike, incredible studio work. Your subject definitely is working hard for you but great setup for those shots!

I also use 16gb cards. Haven't had an issue with space yet since I just shoot for myself.

    What haven’t I changed?
I tend to stay away from large capacity cards. I totally get the convenience of not having to swap all the time because a moment can be missed, but at the same time all I need is to accidentally lose one when I'm on location and there goes 1200 images or so, or have one go bad and eat all my photos or not let me write any photos at all.

Makes a big difference. A D800 is going to fit a lot less than a D700. One of the perks of lower mp cameras. I'd take the D4 sensor over the D800 personally. Too bad they botched up that Df so stinking badly . . .
