So sick

 

The West Wendover airfield this morning. A little history on this place. Some of the movie Conair was filmed here, and the plane is still there. Didn't get any shots of it. More importantly, this is where one of the WWII bombers was trained for the bomb drop on Japan. The Enola Gay bomber was housed here as well, not in this hanger though.
I cant decide if I like the color or the black and white.

I like the color.. seems to make the boarded up windows stand out that much more..

I think if you darken the black and white one a bit, (maybe increase the contrast?) then it'll look better in b&w. Right now it's all too similar in shade, so it looks a little bland, which makes me like the color better.

 

What tripods are those? I like how they fold out to where the camera is just inches off the ground. I need to invest in one like that.

 

I don't know what brand those are, but my vanguard will do that.

My manfrotto does the same thing. Benro's and all the big money ones will also do that. I've heard good things about induro tripods but have never seen one in person.

Just got home from the 24 Hours of Daytona, took about 2,100 photos I'm making some space on my computer before I upload them.

I tried my hand at panning and I got some good images.

haha!! na, this was my first day back on skis since I busted both my legs skiing there last year... Took it easy. They were low on snow anyways so corbets was way sketch and super icy.

Well I would but everything here is kind of boring other than the ones I took earlier this winter. That and 2" of snow per hour is not good for the camera. I could be outside for 30 seconds and I'm covered. My footprints were gone in literally 5 minutes. That and our town was pretty much shut down and the roads were almost impossible to go anywhere.

 

haha, yea they are purdy pintails are one of my faves too.

 

I Like the color, would be cool if you could do an HDR of that.
