Yup, I thought maybe I should have clarified that after I posted. I was namely referring to the most recent lineup, such as D7100 and D800. The D4 being the top tier and older models being different, etc. good clarification, just in case. Thanks.

go to a store and handle them yourself before you buy.

I agree with chenbro too. The 70D is a nice unit.

also if it is out of your budget, i am sure you can find some great deals on the 60D that the 70D just replaced last fall which is what Marc and I shoot with.

None yet, but its about to get rolling.

The 60D is one I've looked at too. There are a good many for sale used around here. What would you pay for a used one in good shape?

Sure, if its in good shape and lowish shutter count id buy used.

Also check out Canon's refurbished cameras.

You might have to keep checking but this is a great way to get a decent price.

Also, if you already own a Canon Camera, there is a loyalty program that helps a bit with price. Again, this may not be exactly what you want and you may need to check back.

    And don't forget Costco.

The loyalty program requires you to call. 866-443-8002. You will need a serial number to continue. (866)-443-8002 (866)-443-8002(866)-443-800

Earlier in the day the clouds were awesome, so I was trying to hustle to get out to a spot I could get a shot, but the lady's work meeting ran long and the clouds decided to suck so I couldn't really get the challenge shot, but I got this.

Shutters have a life cycle on them. Usually around 150,000 clicks for consumer.
