    these two have been bugging me. Kinda seems like there pics are too noisy, but they lose the mood of the pic if I smooth out/soften the details

    what do you guys think, too much going on/sharpness in the pics?

    Nope. Those both look good to me dude! The water one is a little difficult because it's not glass still. But it still works great!

    HHS yea I have downloaded it too.

    Should do it. But I don't do enough video to justify it

    Need power and ram.

    My Mac Pro 8 core with 12 GB of ram has 0 issues.

    I liked it. There are a lot of features that are probably better suited to video crowd. I forget why I went back but I did.

    One thing. Canon says they won't void your warranty if you use it.

    jeremy, my thinkpad with 4gb ram and a 2.1GHz i3 dual core runs slow at times but it's definitely livable. Might depend how cluttered up your computer is too with other stuff.

    3 fps is waaayyyyy too many for time lapse IMO. Mor like 1 fame ever 5-10 seconds for time lapse.

    IMO anyways. Then again it really just depends on your final frame rate..lots of stuff.

    Video= whole other world

    Depends on what you want.
    3fps is still nearly 10:1 time compression, so if you're looking to compress the half hour before and after sunset into a 10 minute video, it's perfect.

    For something that spans more than an hour or two, ya... 1-15 seconds per frame.

    Speaking of which....

    Just ordered one to replace the basic Nikon remote release.

    I really like that it has the ability to adjust exposure on the fly so I can go 100% hands-off bracketing for HDR.
