    Not a secret. lol

It's called the Harris Shutter Effect. You take 3 pictures, use 3 primary colors and combine them to make one picture.

I agree. There's nothing quite like it in digital, not that digital doesn't have it's many upsides. I thing the dark framing adds a bit of depth to the bridge one. That could be it.

    That's awesome!

So found a manfrotto 728b for $85. I offered $65 and waiting for a reply back. The tripod feels 20x better than my cheapo walmart one.

    I was joking.

IMHO, there's no need for anything over 16mp... or even 12mp on a DSLR.
12mp is more than adequate for an 8x10, or even 16x20.
Where 20+mp comes into play is with phone cameras and "point and shoot" that are relying on cropping... er... "digital zoom"

First thing I always did on my "point and shoot" cameras was disable the digital zoom. If I want that, I can do it on the computer.

haha I put some of my film photos on facebook and an acquaintance said, "these photos are really good, how many megapixels is your camera?" Apparently those are directly related.
I don't know how many times someone has read the brand on the front and said it. Nikon huh? Must take good pictures. Olympus huh? I bet it takes good pictures haha yup, I just follow it around and push the button when it tells me to. It takes the photos for me :p

Ya, when I was in Jr High and took photography (did my own B&W processing), Nikon was the hot shit that all of the doctor's kids had. Minolta was well respected. Pentax and Mamiya were well thought of, as was Canon. Canon had JUST (literally, the semester I took the class) come out with the AE-1.

My first was a Minolta HiMatic-E. I quickly found the limitations of this manual-focus forerunner to the modern "point and shoot"... other than ASA, it was not adjustable.
The only kind of special shots I could do would be to double the ASA, take a shot, tap the rewind release button on the bottom, crank the winder one swing, and take a 2nd shot for a double-exposure.
But wow that camera took some awesome sunset shots and beautiful flash shots in Carlsbad Caverns ... Minolta did a very good job with the metering.

So ever since then, other than my Canon T60, which was my first and only film SLR (still have it, I should sell it to a student), I've gravitated toward Nikon once I grew tired of Sony's various little issues. Had three Nikon "point and shoot" before getting pissed off at the L810's piss-poor auto-focus and worthless pop-up flash and ditching it for the 3100.
Now that I've got some decent flash units and glass, we need to re-do that trip to Carlsbad Caverns. It was a wasted trip with the L810.

Just need to decide whether or not I want to lug my Slik tripod on that trip, or go with the lightweight Sunpak.
