i like the efficiency of Bridge though i only use it when working on client computers and they don't have LR...

it's a great tool to be well versed in as a number of corporate photo jobs only use CS, Bridge, and Capture One...

Yeah, ACR is the editor, bridge is just for organizing the files as I was taught. I'm starting to like it better than lightroom, but I don't have CS6 on my personal computer, yet. :spy:

okay thats what i thought it was..haha just wanted to clarify.

I like how LR helps me with my file management already. I don't use PS enough yet to have something make crosstalking super efficient yet. But good to know.

    nice shots marc!

yep... i use Bridge with CS and jointly they are very efficient with file processing and file management all contained in one process flow...

at home though, i use LR and then CS and then windows explorer for file management...

for some reason i like taking the long route at home...

Now THAT is good looking HDR Marc.

WAY way way too often, and especially in contests and even "educational" photog sites, the HDR is so blown out that it looks "cartoony" or more like a painting... like a screen shot from a video game rather than an actual image.

Our eyes have a certain degree of HDR perception that film and digital lacks, but getting too far away from that blows the realism completely out of the shot.

    Perfect example:

:goingcrazy: Been doing good, just had a 24 truck meet this past weekend. The weekend before that went to the race in Bristol, TN. Before that weekend we traveled to a cousin's house for a birthday party for his daughter. On top of all the weekend traveling work and school. I'm stretched pretty thin

    But I'm making it.

Thanks Rich and Murph! I do try to process it as normal as I can then add a little smidge of extra cook to it to give it an edge since after all it is an hdr. The one of the gorge with the trees in the foreground is a little bit too far cooked but i left it cuz I didnt want to re edit...

Actually went out and tested the plastic protective bag that I mentioned in the above post (photo attached to that post) in the rain today and it worked like a charm! It wasn't pouring but it was definitely a solid consistent rain, not drizzle or the occasional rain drop. The photos seemed to come out really well and the lens and body stayed dry. I extended the hood to reduce the amount of rain that got on the actual glass, but there was some wind so some water ended up inside the hood, which I dried up before closing it. I'm glad I decided to use it because I got some good photos! I'll post them here and in the birding thread after I go through them.

More HDR. These turned out really cool! Did some extra processing in LR after the photomatix export. Great birds Kevin! and great pic of the truck Chaz, always boggles me how clean and sharp your truck is for it's age!
