Marc you should try the Enfuse stuff with LR. Looks way better IMO for HDR.

    Still awesome shots though

I did get the infuse thingy. Played with it a little and then just went back to what i knew with photomatix... lazy i guess. I should try it again.

Thanks Ben, yea hdr is a tricky beast. Messes with whites big time.

With that infuse can you combine them as a raw file and mess with them?

Yea it combines the raw. But you have to set your settings before..can't do anything HDR wise after. Just normal LR stuff.

Absolutely love your bird shots. They claim to never take a shot from underneath as it is less desirable and your consistently prove this wrong. What are you doing to get them to look at you- swinging around a small rabbit or fish? :)

here are some of my latest. Been experimenting for my FB account and found that I could export the files at 72 dpi, 2040 long side, screen resolution at low and they look identical to the maxed out ones. So I guess I can save HD space now

Switched to my Flickr account and then they Beta'd me... had to learn all over again. Damn push pin tab...

So Im purchasing an old but very clean FD 55mm f/1.2 S.C.C lens and then adding a Ed Mika adapter now that he has the newer designs that aren't brass. This would be close to $400 for a nice example and thats a lot of glass for that money. Manual focus but you can still have the focus dots beep for you when your in range. More for still work anyways

Anyone try this idea out with the older brass ring adapters? I liked his because they correctly space out the sensor to the lens without adding a cheap piece of glass to make an otherwise awesome lens look mediocre

I have used fd lenses. But I dont have an adapter like that. Wish I did. Marc uses some old k mounts. They are cool. But hard to use a lot

Yea like Monte said i've got some old pentax Kmount lenses and the adapter rings which dont add any focal length like the fd's do... I've experimented with the adapters that allow focus confirmation and it wasnt dead on focus so, i just went back to the basic adapter ring and manual focus. I've gotten pretty good with the manual focus ring, it's really important to make sure your viewfinder focus is adjusted right! Old glass really looks good though! I love using it when i can take the time to manual focus!

Drank my morning coffee with my camera and got some pretty good shots in the back yard. Really enjoying getting back behind a SLR.

I'm really liking the color in all these pictures!

You know it is spring in Mn. when your ice fishing and someone crowds your spot. In a boat.

    +1

Old reporter's trick for making city traffic look more congested than it really is.
Same as real estate agents shooting a property with a 16mm.
