Went for a walk today and had to take a photo of the beautiful scenery. This is one minute from my house. You can see the rain over the hills

Sorry Ive been missing a while. Traveling again for work. I'm currently in a small Siberian town in Russia called Noyabrsk. I had zero time to see Moscow and my hotel was literally a 1/2 hour walk away from the Red Square. Lost luggage and issues with travel caused delays that meant no fun time.

Here are some crappy ones as we drove out of Moscow- shot from the cab. I only have one lens with my 60D to not draw attention to my stuff. So its me and the 24-105mm f/4 to try and get some memories. I wish the driver would have stopped along the road on the 5 hour drive north through Siberia from the airport. Some amazing views. Its like the worlds largest wildlife sanctuary dotted with aspen type trees and pines and covered about 75% by water and the other 25% is sand. It snowed 3 x on the way up and has been snowing since here in town. Sunset never happens now. Its just gets slightly darker around 11:30 pm and comes back out at full intensity at around 2:30 am. Work has me pinned down for 16 hour days but maybe Ill get a chance to walk around some. The last shot was a war memorial near my hotel.

    Old and new

The biggest lie of the cold war- Russian women. My advise if your single. learn Russian and travel to Moscow. Its hard to find ugly women that dont look like models and in the summer most wear hardly anything ;)

Thanks Ben, the flattery makes me slightly uncomfortable but I appreciate it :) Been an adventurous and tough road filled with lots of hard work to where we are but makes it all the sweeter on days like today. The scenery within a days reach is unbelievable here. Having lunch in the mist of a raging runoff river was such a nice way to spend the afternoon :D

Edit** i've been trying to think about what you said before about the slight washed out look/contrast in my hdr's. I think 6-1 is a bit over washed and overcooked but what do you think of 8-1 and 7-1? I think part of it is the monitors we're looking at...

I really like the look around your surroundings. From the waterfall to the trail to the looks at the river. All great pictures!

The place I went today all the waterfalls were going crazy. I need a 10 stop filter. Recommendations? I am looking on B&H, I had no idea they are so expensive. Are there cheaper alternatives?

I picked up THIS B+W ND filter about a month ago. Super happy with it.

I have noticed there is a *slight* magenta cast in some (not all) photos, but that is very easily corrected if shooting in RAW.
