Alright I know a bunch of websites have been sprayed around in this thread about good photography sites. Well I don't really feel like browsing through the 80 pages to find them so can ya'll shoot me out some good ones.

Non-forum preferably because I'm writing a research paper on photography. So websites of anything about photography, basics of a camera, types of photography that sort of thing. Of course I'll be gathering my own research but whatever you all could share would be great. Thanks everyone!

i try to stay away from kenrockwell.com as much as i can. The dude gives THE WORST reviews i have ever heard. The dude literally compares image quality from a $150 canon point and shoot to a D3x and says its COMPARABLE you have got to be kidding me. the more i think/talk about it the more it angers me.

    anything nikon
    http://www.bythom.com/nikon.htm

everything nikon, canon, sony, olympus, etc.
    http://froknowsphoto.com/

^^^ this guy Jared Polin so far has the best reviews/walk throughs/advice, out of any website i have seen. He does all videos. It has helped me out a lot.

I don't know. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean the advice is necessarily "bad".

Making decisions about stuff is making sure you gather as much info as possible and decide for yourself. That should include the stuff you don't agree with as well.

idk, for what he shoots and what he does, his advice he gives isnt the best ever. Why would he have all this pro equipment if you can get the sam quality shots with a P&S?

I will say most all of his lens reviews i agree with 100%. Because he is an engineer (not a pro photographer. he actually states that on his site) and he gives all the specs spot on about sharpness, color fringe, vignette, MTF curves, etc..But his other reviews on bodies, are complete trash (IMO). a lot of the things he says makes him sound like he doesnt take pride in his art.

UGH and everything he says about JPEG vs RAW absolutely infuriates me. but then again i am a RAW fan boy....

als his "how to use wide angle" article made me think i wasnt good enough for wide angle shots....idk a lot of his stuff is VERY opinion vs fact... there are far better reviewers out there than him....but then again if your just getting into photography i guess he has some alright advice... idk i guess i can see past his bs.
