pumped to see what you think of it, deciding between that one and the 10-22 from canon. I shoot canon not nikon tho...

Is there a main reason you went with the DX2 and not the regular DX. The second one comes with some different coatings and a built in motor correct?

I know Ben, i've been checking that one out too! Seems to be getting good reviews. I just know i'd be happy with the 10-22 so it's hard to stray away with something so new. It's a decade old but since it's still around it clearly doesn't suck haha.

I'm going to Chile in December and am going to be getting some camera goodies to take with :D a UWA is one of them as well as a 1510 pelican case to travel with.

You've got a trip coming up too right?

10-22 because the bit of extra zoom, hair faster, manual focus meter to see for night shots. Lastly the 10-22 because the 10-18 jumps to 5.6 pretty early when you move from 10mm and the image stabilization only really helps you with static subjects... So the 10-22 will shoot moving things in lower light at 12+mm better. Really it's super close but im trying to grapple with which one is right for what i'll be using it for.

Nice. Yea the 10-18 is still in the running for sure, gonna give it some time and see. I've got till December to decide.

I would love to go full frame to get into the nice lenses it lets you choose from but damn it's just too rich for me... The body prices double/triple and then lenses do about the same if you're looking at nice canon glass. I've always told myself that unless i'm making money doing it i'm gonna stay with what i've got, unless i win the lotto

I love my 1510. Works great. Use it for photo and audio stuff

The 6d isn't that much more. But yea..glass for sure. But really. Better glass for even the 60d will be a step up.

I'm considering the 10-18. Only thing I don't like is no meter on it like the 10-22. But not worth the cost. Quality wise the 10-18 is right there.

Most do. If it's a Flickr image it'll have the Flickr link under it. It'll take you to Flickr and all the data is there

Only if the EXIF data hasn't been stripped. Many conversion/export tools strip it except for copyright/owner data.

I think EXIF is more pertinent than Camera/Lens unless for a specific reason, ie. Macro Lens or something.

Peeps can definitely ask though as well if they have any questions regarding a certain photo!

Very tire. Think anyone here will tell ya their data if ya ask.

Like no focus meter on the lens itself

My issue is more I can't remember who is shooting Canon or Nikon. Then there's Chaz with his odd ball image maker.

Maybe this. Some older lens mounts will work on newer digital cameras. However, they may not have the electronics a modern lens has and to shoot, you go 100% manual. You set the aperture in the lens and focus using live view or a split screen viewfinder. If you want to meter, either handheld or guesstimate.

The old Nikon 50mm lens is a great lens and works on older DSLR bodies for example. Another example is using an adapter to use a Nikon 14-24 on a Canon body.

all I can say is that you are looking down a tunnel facing two nitrous tanks. maybe at a later date I can indulge, but it is definitely a site/perspective that hardly anyone has seen
