This works really well as B&W. I tried using a high pass filter in PS to sharpen it a bit. Also converted the color to B&W. And lastly, I tried a tight crop-but wasn't sure I liked it.

I'm mixed about this. I sometimes use a TS lens and shift vertical or horizontal for a pano so feel comfortable shooting either way.

No worries! You've been plenty busy.

Yeah my last few have been all with vertical shots, or horizontal if the pano was designed to be vertical.

BorrowLenses rents those. Also, Emotimo has a timelapse device that you can make panos with too.

That's a cool shot. I don't see 6.5 mil in it but if he really sold it for that good for him.

Personally I'd love to be able to go out west and shoot things like that. I could probably spend months out there exploring new places to photograph and probably really improve on my photography doing something like that. Maybe when I retire. lol

Thanks, man. Wishing I would have gotten lower with all the ones of the kids ha

I find that when papers are due I suddenly want to edit old photos. Weird.

    Agreed, nice photos Chaz.

I really need to re-organize my hard drive :anonymous: Part of the problem is I do everything on my laptop which is space limited... be hard for me to go back to really old stuff.

I saw that print sold for 6mil or something and thought wth...good for him if the sale was real and I guess good for him if it wasn't and he just marketed his work in a slanted manner. Cool photo but "meh" for me

I've seen better. But the thing is, all art is subjective. Plus, Lik knows how to market his shit-and that is the name of the game.

Dude has four prints in the top ten or something like that most expensive photos in the world. He definitely knows how to market. Did you see the color version of the Fantom one called Ghost? It's just the same photo but in color and I have photos of the same canyon on my all right now that, in my opinion, look infinitely better haha but . . . that's my opinion. And I'm no one of consequence :p Dude made like 12-15 million off of four photos (something like that, I'm guessing from memory). I'd be happy to make that in hundreds rather than millions!

I walked through Lik's gallery in Maui last September. Nice shots, but it's definitely all in the marketing! There are photographers on this forum alone that can take comparable shots.

You might miss something if it's in an album though.
