Another cool shot that my son took at the Hurley Pro in Trestles last summer. It was picked up by Hurley and added to their photo wall auction to Save Trestles.

I like the captures. The only thing I change would be the crops and to watch your horizons.

Thanks. How would change the crops? Yes, I always forget to edit the horizon.

Hahhaha Tonelli! Didn't his truck have a fire? That is unfortunate and sketchy! BAP is the best. I wish I coul'dve raced this year, it seems like this year was very eventful. Did you get any shots of all the class 11s? I can't believe 20+ entered!

I must be over due for a road trip, all the photos I've worked on today from the archives have been road related.

Less dead space. You want the athletes to fill as much of the frame as possible.

Take a look at a few of my galleries for what I'm talking about

    http://bluemoonoriginals.smugmug.com/Sports

On a side note I really need to go throught and edit a metric shit tonne of photos to get caught up.

Making sure that the image isn't tilted, unless the composition requires your horizon to be off axis.

Pretty much making sure vertical lines are vertical and horizontal lines are horizontal.

I believe I have a few shots from class 11. It was pretty cool to see those dude having fun out there. It was a very good year at BAP, countless roll overs, a fire from Tonelli's truck, a few broken wheel studs which resulted in an epic dyke jump.

What do you guys use for card readers? Any to stay away from? My wife's laptop I had been using had a built in reader, my surface does not.

If you are patient and tech savvy, gimp is free opensource software for photo editing. Runs on Linux and PC. I picked up Lightroom too, wasn't that expensive. There is an openspurce free program like Lightroom, but only runs on Linux. Called darktable
