I bought my first Nikon when I was 12 from the change left over from my school lunch every day. I went all the way through color and B&W in the darkroom and learning studio work. I've built a 4x5 pinhole camera and won a science fair with it at school. I did weddings as a teenager and finally got tired of dealing with weddings and just did photography for fun. Amazing how far camera's have come in 30 years from starting. I never though back then I'd be doing my darkroom work on a laptop. I do love the look of film though.

I had a photographer show me everything I learned along the way. She taught me how to do all the darkroom work and I'm still surprised I can look at color photographs and I think that is the wrong color package for that print.

That's pretty awesome that he'll give you that class for free. It's probably well worth the price he charges also.

I used to live near the Johnson Space Center and saw that aircraft and the shuttle a few times up close. It's quite an experience to get to see it up close.

I still have my first camera I bought 30 years ago. Still works like a charm.

I was very blessed to have been able to get up close and personal to these Amazing machines. My grandfather was an aerospace engineer 1948-1985 for Grumans and designed the wings and tail sections along with Rockwell. He was also on many Mercury,Gemini and Saturn programs as well.I just wish I could have had the photo bug at that age I have some but it was limited to what could be taken.

What I love with discovery is that I was able to see the inaugural flight in 84 from launch control at KSC and the last flight in 2012.....

Somewhere I have a picture of me in the cargo bay of Atlantis when it was in the Orbital Processing building at KSC.....

Thanks, and yes, he is healthy. Too bad he is not in the right state and unit for my archery hunt. He also has an irregular rack with 6 on one side and 7 on the other.

Here's a shot of some random construction equipment I encountered on a duck hunting trip last winter.

Thanks! I was only about 20 minutes south of Spokane. I'm off next week so I'm gonna try heading out towards the Palouse and see what it's like down there at night.

First truck-assisted photoshoot last night: I used the tailgate as a comfy bench inside the door of my garage as I took some long-exposure pics of the storm that rolled through our neighbourhood.
