    dabbling with macro, using a EOS 60D (crop sensor), EF85 f/1.8 USM lens, on some cheap Vello brand extension tubes...

    1st pic has 65mm of extension, field of view is about 0.8" wide. second only has 13mm of extension and I didn't measure the FOV. both at ISO 100, f/22 indicated (probably at least a stop less due to extension) and about 1" exposure.

    That's why I went there. Living right outside Yosemite and spending many days (and nights) in the awesome darkness out there, I really want to do some good Milky Way/astrophotography shots!

    the pump motor was frozen, which is probably why the R's and D overheated. I replaced the whole assembly with a factory rebuilt unit (new are NLA).
