I got lustre. I do mostly nature pics, so lustre is the way to go for that IMO. Also if one is not sure, it's good cuz it's neutral. & unless you have your monitor calibrated regularly with software specifically made to do this, then I would be color correction. Most of us have our monitors set too bright. I did use the windows calibration thing & fixed mine, however it does not fix gamma & something else (can't remember what). Anywho, the corrections made by nation's photo lab were so minor, yet improved the quality. In fact so much that I sold some :D
Oh, & if you missed the sale last night, they run it regularly. Maybe get on their email notification list. I keep forgetting to do that otherwise I would'a taken advantage of the sale. I can't make decisions on what to order last minute like that....

I’ve always printed through Smugmug. There are a couple reasons. Biggest no questions guarantee. Second, they will help color correct unless you tell them not to. They have several labs depending on the product you are ordering-metal, canvas, paper, etc. lots of choices.

Not always cheapest but never been disappointed.

I couldn't get the 11x14 to actually fit my photo.. So I didn't order last night. It kept making me crop parts of it out.

Did you already have it sized as 11X14? Cuz that's weird if you did. Otherwise, that's perfectly normal. Kind'a one of the handy things about ordering the prints online. They monitor the crop & what you see is what you get.... Plus they'll let you know if you are trying to print something too big & will lose quality....

I have my website through them. I used to print my own to hang around the apt & whatnot. I had my first showing a few months ago & for some reason, decided to go with Nations Photo Lab. Not even sure I thought of Smugmug.... Oddnesses.... Anyway, I am sure they are very good as well....

That didn't even come to my mind, it was a straight shot I shot and then edited. Didn't even check the size

I see. So yeah, unless it was set at 4:3 you'd have to crop a bit for an 11X14. I am sure I switch mine from time to time, but somehow I end up mainly at 16:9, so I often end up cropping the width. Good for getting more in the pic though or landscapes....

So can I ask you why it has to be an 11X14? I mean if you don't want to crop it, why not make it a different size? 11X17? Shooting 16:9 works well both for landscapes & 11X17 prints.

Well I found 2 picture frames at the house and they happen to both be 11x14 so that was really the only reason and I happened to like the last two pictures I took so was like well lets give it a try. Not working out in my favor.

I've only got a 70-200mm for long reach on my 5DMKII. Crop factor on this one but I thought this photo turned out alright. Don't see it too often but 2 bucks about 170 yards out. 9 point buck standing over 8 point.

I might be a few months late in responding but I do. I'm a full time videographer for a company called Amoretti here in Oxnard, CA and I also work as a part-time photographer at a car dealership. I just photograph all of their inventory.

I might not have the answers you're looking for but you never know. :D
