I’m gonna post these cause I feel like they’re a little different than most the pictures posted here. I don’t have a super fancy camera but I feel like they’re decent and they are probably some of my favorite pictures I’ve taken. All taken this year, all the animals in these pictures were let go unharmed. Some may be offended but oh well.

Some of you may have seen some of these before, sorry.

You don’t need a super fancy camera if you’ve got a good subject. Great shots!

I have never heard of anyone treeing a cat for sport without then finishing it off. Is that common? Do you do that for dog training purposes to hunt the cats later or what? Educate me!

Yeah, we tree them and let them go most the time. I’m not gonna say we don’t ever harvest them, but the group I hunt with will only do that if it’s like an old mature male.

Most the time we let them go to run another day. A couple of those pictures are of the same cat weeks apart and as far as I know he’s still running around up there.

A lot of people do kill everything they catch and that really sucks.

Thanks Mahn.... Appreciate your comments !

I watched that Eagle for 3 or 4 minutes chase and harass an Osprey who clearly had the fish in it's talons.

    Osprey & The Eagle Dogfight.jpg

It was quite a dog fight up and down the beach and open water. I lost sight of them for a few seconds and the Eagle came up over the dunes calling loudly with the prize in it's grip as the Osprey cruised out alone over the water in defeat.

Pretty awesome that you got that whole sequence captured! We had one fly over us this winter when we were camping and circled for a while. I got some halfway decent shots but what would have been the best one was out of focus of course.

    Nice post and good comment.
So are people here, they kill everything.
Well, pumas and jaguars are killing our calves, but they're so nice animals..

    Forgive my amateur question...

Im a night owl. I love the dark. I really want to improve my night sky/milky way shots. Ive got my settings down (I think... for the most part...) What Im having issue with is focus. Im shooting manual focus. Nikon D750, 24-70mm. What do I do!

Im just doing these for my own benefit, I'll never have the quality to sell them... But I just want a better photo!
