Yes there is more to this- but not much more. I eventually started the process with the CC company but then bought another truck so could use the original order. When I told them this, TT agreed to ship it (but didn't) so stupidly I ceased with the CC . . . is that the "more" you are referencing.

Here's the last (Feb 17th) email condensed:

    Me: "
Visa says it will take as many as a few months to process a refund. I’m buying another Taco (but Gen 1)- just go ahead and send me what I ordered and paid for. The address again:"

TT; "You got it, ship to the addy below?"

And I so confirmed the address. No shipment to date and no refund.

Tell me- if you bought something from me which I never sent it and you asked for your money back and I said go get a refund from your CC- what would your reaction be? There likely IS more to this- but best ask TT.

Bottome line: Rob dude needs to give Ritter his money back or send his product.

It isn't as easy as calling up the card company and say please give me my money back. It doesn't happen that way anymore...plus why is it the credit card company and the buyers fault at all????? TT's acceptance of payment is an acceptance of responsibilty. Oh right they are not a respectable responsible business in the first place.

FWIW, In light of changes in the law, all cc companies are revising their policies. Just look in your mailbox for the newest 20 page small print document they are sending out now. Just last night I read my Toyota Rewards Visa card dipute policy. What a joke in all the steps you have to do.

Bottom line, give Ritter his money back or his product.

Find Rob's truck & remove his system. You have been a hell of alot more considerate than I could have ever been. This dude is a thief pure & simple. He deserves to have $900 + interest worth off his ass handed to him. They should call it ********* the best sound you'll never hear!

I haven't personally ordered from them...but would feel comfortable doing so in the future. The tutorials helped a lot and were informative so i feel like i could trust that they know what they're talking about

    UPDATE-

After much cajoling and much time and energy, TT shipped my original order and sent me a $200 refund. I don't know why exactly but posting here may have helped.

So they made good in the end but it was a lot of hassle- the most by far over anything I've bought online. Nothing else comes close. So I'm of two minds about these guys and still wondering why all the drama when this ought to have been very straight forward from the outset; ship goods or issue refund.

Anyway I wanted to update here in the interest of full disclosure.

so i placed an order with tirerack yesterday about 3pm. the tires are out for delivery and i should have them today.

    that's how customer service works.

edit...tires were delivered at 2pm today. that's 23 hours from order time to delievery time. amazing what a company can do when they choose to focus on customer service.

I hate that this is my first post, great site by the way, but I ordered a speaker install kit over two weeks ago and can't seem to get a response. It actually started out really good. Received shipment notification the day after I ordered and got a package within two days. Problem was it was only 1 set of adapters and nothing else from the kit. I sent an email to them and got an immediate response asking for a pic which I sent. Since then, over a week, I have sent numerous emails and left 2 phone messages and get crickets. I have given them until 5p today to contact me or I am filing a dispute with paypal. I should have listened to the feedback but I liked the idea of an all inclusive package. Boy was that a bad idea....

Out of fairness I did finally recieve the remainder of my order today 5/20. 21 days after my intial order. Contact has been fair to good since I posted. I think that eventually you will get your stuff but it seems to take some effort.

That is a sweet setup...congrats on doing it yourself...Now you should be doing this on the side!...

On another note, I just ordered a pair of front and back speakers from ********* yesterday...I got an email back yesterday telling me they'll ship Monday...I'll let everyone know how it turns out...But of course I get up this morning and see this thread....Made me wonder if I messed up...

I made an assumption that if they're an official vendor of this forum then they are endorsed by the forum which has been great for this fairly new member...Poor assumption?

As far as I know ********* are not an offical anything of any forum. Some people have good luck with them, others don't. I wish you luck my friend and request a tracking number. You may need to call and leave a message as email works great to place an order, but normally that's it, unless they have made some changes and do take customer service seriously now. And just because a tracking number has been initiated doesn't mean the package has been shipped unless you see shipping progress.

In fairness, I thought that I would post a follow-up to my original post...I ordered front and rear speakers from ********* a week ago and got the package and all the materials today. Maybe I'm just lucky but felt I had to post a follow-up.
