Nice work man. I have 4 Spartans coming this year. Two Sprints, one Super, and a Beast to wrap things up. I did one Sprint Spartan last Summer, and had a total blast!!

Haha....Dallas in December. What is it, like 'light jacket' weather there that time of year. j/k :p

I live in Canadark - the first Sprint is Edmonton, Ab in June - Next Sprint is Calgary, Ab in Aug - then the Super is here where I live in Red Deer, Ab in Sept - Lastly, the Beast is in Sun Peaks, B.C. also in Sept.

And I just looked at your screen name. My best friend is organizing his 2nd annual Zombie Run again this Fall. That was fun as hell last year - and I was the first to register for this Year. It's in Sylvan Lake, Ab (just outside of Red Deer).

I started running on a regular basis in January, been doing mostly 5K events although I try to do a 7 mile run at least once a week. I just took two weeks off after a vasectomy and laid around eating "comfort" food while I recovered. When back out to run for the first time this morning and struggled to do a 5K, ended up taking me like 33 minutes. But for motivation I signed up for a 4 mile run this coming thursday night. I might be slow but I am going to finish it.

No clue. I dont really track my times, just distances...and those arent anything to write home about compared to most people in this thread

I am about to really step up my training though and get more strict on the nutrition part of it.

no prs to report for me, I've only run two events- both 20 mile trails races over very technical ground w/ lots (lots) of elevation gain and loss

I've never run a 5k or 10k event, as I don't like to run on roads (nor am I very fast :))- probably will stay that way

I'm running between 30-40 miles/week, occasionally over or under that, but that's pretty average

Not much for me, maybe 7-8 miles a week currently but I am also trying to gain weight so I dont want to do much more than that at this point. If I end up doing a trail run after work one day then it will be more than that

pretty good week, 35 miles- had a good (tough) 15 mile long run on Saturday

the highlight of the week wasn't totally run related, I did the crossfit "Murph" workout- for time- 1 mile run, 300 body weight squats, 200 pushups, 100 pullups (partitioned any way you see fit- I did 20 sets of 15 squats/10 pushups/5 pullups) followed by another mile run

last time I did the workout was ~ 6 months ago at 41:30, shaved about 2 minutes off and finished under 40- I'll probably wait another 6 months before I try that fun workout again :D

I've been using virgin coconut oil since 2006, on my skin. As an added benefit it works as a natural insect repellant/sun screen. Never had any "chaffing" since I've been using it.

Been averagin 28+ for the past two weeks.

Yesterday I ran the "Bolder-Boulder 10K". It was my first high elevation race. On mile 1, while waiting for a lady friend of mine, I ran into an old acquaintance from back home in Tampa. The poor soul came to town to visit his uncle and "run" the race. I paced him to a 57 min finish, while I score a 55.40.

It felt good to know that I can actually run in high altitude! :D
