it sticks really well, if you have any problems w/ sticking then a little tincture of benzoin on the skin first will definitely do the trick

Got back yesterday from FL, back to the North Pole... I mean it, subfreezing temps, snow and ice EVERYWHERE.

I twice ran on the beach, barefoot of course, while in FL. I wanted to do it more, but the bronchitis got re-started. None of my remedies worked, so my running suffered for it.

Six days before I left, my Mom came up with an AWESOME combo, that FINALLY got rid of it. 1. One small organic aloe leave, 2. 16 oz of cod liver oil, 3. 2-3 oz of raw honey, 4. One lemon and a bit of ginger root.

It worked like a charm! I have decided that from now until April 2nd, I'll concentrate on speed work primarily, while saving the long runs for trails only. I need to lean out, specially after the Holidays...

On April 2nd, I'll start my traning for my first 26.2. The aim? A sub 4 hour marathon. Location will probably be on the West Coast.

The secret is two fold: 1. Don't stop running once it starts getting cold. 2. Buy cold weather running gear.

This Floridian will run, even on 10 degree weather and with snow/ice on the ground. It's mind bending!

Wow.....it's 70 for a high here. Going to suck in the summer when it's 115 though. Will stick to treadmill intervals and lean out at that point.

Did a brutal "arm" workout at the park using bodyweight only. Will have to move my 7miler to tomorrow as I can barely move today.

Pull-ups - Superset the grips (wide, close, close chin) reps are 5,4,3,2,1 for each grip = 45 reps
Dips 3x max reps (15 each time) = 45 reps
Diamond push-ups superset (jumping burpee between each set) 2,4,6,8,10,8,6,4,2 = 50 reps with 9 burpees

Man have I lost a lot of strength/conditioning since my main focus has been the marathon (was expected to some degree). Excited to get my strength back up, work the legs more AND keep my long runs up to par in the event I want to tackle another LONG race.

I'll take that heat. I hate the cold with a passion. Run early in the morning when it's nice and muggy.

I love it! Heck, I miss it!!! :(

Just got my yearly running report for 2013, from Dailymile. I ran for 929 miles for the year 2013, a drop from 1,217 in 2012. Kind of bummed out about it, but last year was a transition year.

I know that using the 1st quarter of 2014, to do speed work, will yield great dividends for the entire year. :)

I have a Fat Ass 50k this weekend, I'll run the Elkhorn 50k again, as well as the Rail to Trail 50k. I missed the Devil's Backbone last July (50 mile or 25 mile relay for two)-I'm definitely going to hit that one. I'll put in for the Bridger Ridge Run (20 miles) this year (rain in 2012), it's by drawing so we'll see. Also putting in for the Volcanic 50k- makes a loop around Mt St. Helens- a buddy ran it last fall, said it was very tough.

Not a race, but a group of buddies and myself are going to tackle a Zion NP traverse across the park in early April- 47 tough miles

I can say that I do not miss doing tempo runs in 92 and 90% humidity :puke:... I think I would honestly rather have 110 and a dry heat. And yes I have done both.
