Most people I know that have the 305 really like it. I don't know if I could roll with something that big on my arm though.

    PG-13 night, nothing earth shattering...

Congrats on being "almost injury free". I like elevating the legs so much now, that I virtually do it every night!

Though I should've done the threadmill 1.5, I didn't. I did freeweights and I did calisthenics galore, including sit ups but no running.

I had someone on my mind, and was just too distracted to safely run on a threadmill.

Darn it, hate it when a woman gets inside your head...

6.25 miles in 1 hr. A bit faster than I wanted, as this Saturday we are doing 11 miles, and I want to run them in sub 9:30 splits.

    That will be HARD!

11.5 miles DONE! The front 9 miler I did in 1:22:17, which is a bit slower than I wanted, but overall it was pretty good.

Chris one of my running partners, needed a bathroom break, so I waited for him to finish his "business" at the gas station. Well my group got ahead by almost 6 mins. Since Chris had done 7 miles on his own, before the group run, he had no speed. I ditch him and catched up to my running group, probably the hardest thing I've ever run! The last two miles, I just coasted.

Fun fact, two weeks ago the organizer started placing beer cans at the first water station. Well, I'm a freegan, and though I hate canned beer or cheap beer, I do like free beer. Well two weeks ago, I drank a bit more than half a can of Bud, and it didn't bother me at all. Today I chugged a can of Coors, and everything went by the book!

I'll probably start chugging a beer before running anything over 15K! :D

Dude after EVERY race is there is Beer, ALWAYS!

At first it was a bit shocking to eat chili/spaghetti & meatballs or cajun rice with beer after a race. Not any more... :D

    4x4 Split was ~51
no split times for the 4x2 or 4x1

In no way slamming you, as I could only make those times in a motorcycle, but what do you think is the cause of loosing a second?

I mean two seconds off, and you get a PR, just wondering!

well last year after season i took the entire summer off and did my own thing. then in mid august when school started i started training for this season. so my goal in those six months was to get back to my PR of a 52.36. Like i said i ran a 52.37. that was my goal and talking to other coaches and a few decathletes they said its a great starting point :D

but as for being a little over a second faster in a 4x4 you have to remember i wont necessarily run an entire 400. i might run like ~395meters and also i was third leg so i didnt have a block start, i had a running start with the hand off. plus the 4x4 is the last event at track meets so everyone watches and you give it all you got :p

^ Oh so you slacked for a while and only lost 1 sec? U R doing just fine!

I (we) ran only 3 miles today, fast though like 5K speed. I Really wanted 5-6 but got outvoted by the babes, and I'm in no position to blow that up, yet.

I got done in less than 27 mins, which is good enough for 8:20 splits or so.

    I'll make it up!

i remember one of our fitness test was to run a 3.1mile cross country course called fair banks here right by our college. i ran it in 21:20... 20 seconds over out time limit. im proud of that, i never run more than a lap :p

I woke with a cyst on my right foot yesterday. I didn't run because I got to caught up with work, so I just did calisthenics yesterday.

Well today I could not run! The stupid cyst is on the "palm" of my foot, so every step is a chore!

Everything I see online is MINOR surgery with WEEKS of recup!:mad::eek:

I did 6 gentle miles today in 1:04:23. Slow as molasses but I didn't care.

I did buy a contored insole and anti-rubbing socks at the store that sponsors our runs. I also wore the 4X4's, my extra cushion running shoes. That shitz worked!

The only reason I had to run slow, wasn't even my foot, though it bother quite a bit. It was because some friends and I, had a Chicago deep dish pizza last night (and then again leftovers for me at work) with jalapenos, habaneros and "ghost peppers". Darn thing was tasty, but I had to hit the "latrine" twice during the run...

I have an appt with the chiropractor tomorrow morning, it's not a "cyst" more like a "growth" but I'll see how he can help!

Alright so I got treated at the Chiropractor. I chosed this guy because A) he used to train with my running group, and B) He is a marathon runner (7 so far).

What I have on my foot is a "cyst", but it has no water, air or fatty tissue. There was some blood as he used the acupuncture needles around and then right on it. A bit of blood came out, but not a lot. It is not around the tendon or muscle, which is why the fibroma was ruled out.

They tried to brake it up with ice packs, ultrasound, massage and acupuncture.
He also taped it. Right now my leg is elevated and my foot is on ice.

I was able to stand on my right foot, before I left the clinic so the treatment worked. I got another appt for Wed, before I flight out to Tampa, so in his professional opinion, I'm cleared to train and run the race.

He also said that if it still bothering me in a month, I'll have to have it X-ray. He was very surprised of how "point specific" it was. Like I said, no tendon or muscle appeared to be affected.
