Try strengthening your hamstrings and quad muscles too. That helped me. Weak muscles can sometimes cause those problems too

None yet, but its about to get rolling.
I think both of these are some of my problem. That hammy has been tight for years I think it was a deadlifting injury. The quad on the same leg feels like I have a knot in it.

It really comes around every 3 months or so and goes away.

Anyone watch the marathon Olympic trials this morning/afternoon? Rupp's first ever marathon and he killed it, plus is final 2 miles took him just 9:43! Meb made the team too, 40 years old and still kicking butt, the best part is he only did this because of his family and youngest who never got to see him race!

Bummer on a few issues but sounds like overall you had a good run, a PR is a PR, next time it will be even better, if that's the distance you are going for! The race (race director as well) sounds like it is pretty well set up with a lot of options, that can be hard to find.

Nice work on the race. Not feeling the 50k as much? What distance duathlons are you doing and what distance/race have you picked for your first tri? I love tri's more than running even though they take more time in training and gear.

I raced this past Sunday in Dallas, the Dallas Rock n Roll half marathon. It was my first race where I really traveled for it and was a great time. Race was kind of tough, for all the hills I run around home there were a couple hills that made me work extra hard, plus winds really picked up, when I looked up the weather it said 18 mph. Managed to break 1:30 for the first time with a 1:29:15 which was good enough for 9th in my age group of 570 and 97th out of 9555 finishers. Feeling great about my overall performance.

    Thanks.

Sounds like you have a full schedule of races, and good goals for the future, those duathlon distances look fun. I have only done one, it was run 1.5 bike 7 run 1.5 road

Y'all running all these long trail races.
Just did the cooper river bridge run 10k. Wanted to hit 40 but got 41:07.
Really underestimated the 1.5 mile uphill on the bridge. It was muggy as heck too. I'll take a 240 finish out of 27000.

Got a 5k I hope to do well in this weekend. A 30 mile trail fun run with some friends in late April.

A few halts this summer leading up to a downhill marathon in oct where I'm hoping to BQ

Nice work on the 10k and good luck on the upcoming races.

I have my last race of the year coming up this Sunday, unless something odd comes up during my deployment or at the very end of the year. Doing a local 25k, "wimped" out and picked the 1350' elevation course vs the 1900' elevation course, 2 years ago I did the 50k there which is both courses combined and has some seriously rough terrain. Should be a good run and the weather is looking phenomenal.

I've got a 50k trail run Saturday with some friends. I'm excited but kinda nervous my longest run is 26 miles on the road.
