I'd heard of them from this website, but I hadn't done my research into the (lack of) customer satisfaction of TW members. I have nobody to blame but myself. Unless my order show up soon, they can count me a one-and-done customer... if I don't try to get my money back from PayPal, that is.

I agree. If you're a small business, I can even understand it preventing you from doing your job effectively for a short time... but you should stop taking orders while you can't fill them, if that's the case.

So your order showed up after a delay, even though they never communicated with you? How long was the delay, and how often did you email?

    This thread is intense!

    Seriously:

Just finished installing my setup last weekend, about half of which I bought from TT. I was in constant contact with Rob, (emails typically replied to within an hour or so nearly every time), about products, and was given good technical advice which I was able to validate with some good research on my part. I purchased a set of ID CTX6.5's and CTX6.5cs, also got their ported box with ID12v3. Shipping was prompt. Everything was delivered as described. About my only complaint is that the box was a bitch to mount. The thing bangs out my tunes better than I expected, as well as the rest of the system.

Although I've only had the system in for a few days, unless everything blows up and my truck catches on fire, I'd definitely order from them again.

So strange...I know I only ordered a faceplate but it was here within a week, everything was in good shape, and it all fit well. I will say though, after my initial e-mail he did not reply to my two subsequent ones....I am also guessing he will not be refunding me for sending the silver faceplate instead of the black...$3!!!!!!!! haha

On 12/14, two weeks and THREE emails after my order was placed, I received a response from Rob at TT. He said that they were out of one of the products I ordered (the 6x9 MDF mounts). He said I should have received an automated email, but that I was the third person who hadn't received it. I gave him the benefit of the doubt.

He also said that he would gladly ship out the more expensive plastic 6x9 mount that day (12/14) or if I wanted to wait one day he would send out what I ordered, since it was to arrive the next day. He signed the email, "LMK, i will get this done ASAP."

A little frustrated, but happy to seemingly get a resolution, I immediately responded that I would leave the decision to him. I'm not putting together a super-system, so the upgrade would be nice, but is not necessary.

No surprise here... He didn't respond.

It's been 6 days since our exchange. My order hasn't arrived. The USPS tracking number that came with the original PayPal notification still says only that "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on December 07, 2010 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date." This tells me he still hasn't shipped.

Since telling him he could ship whichever mounts he wanted, I've emailed him two additional times, and still nothing. I've told him a number of times that I will start the process of trying to recover my money through PayPal if I haven't recieved either my order, or evidence that it has shipped by 12/31.

Either way, I'll be looking elsewhere from now on. I really wish I'd found/read this thread a month ago!

I just re-checked the tracking number that came through PayPal. When I checked two days ago it still hadn't shipped. Today it says that the package was processed through a sort facility on 12/21, so it looks like it's actually (finally) on the way to me.

I don't plan to buy from ********* again, even if my complete order arrives. Waiting 3 weeks for it to ship, and complete shit for communication has turned me off.

On 12/24 I came home to find a note from the post office... I had a package from *********, but they couldn't deliver b/c I wasn't home. Because it was Christmas Eve, I couldn't get it the next day, and the following day was Sunday (yesterday).

Again, I placed my order on 12/1, and it wasn't around for Christmas. That's ridiculous.

Yes, I realize that it was at my house before Christmas and the only reason I didn't have it was that I wasn't home to receive it. And don't get me wrong, I don't mind that a signature was required. I'd rather miss the delivery and have to pick it up at the post office than have them leave it and it get damaged in weather or stolen... BUT, because he took so damn long to ship, the day it was missed was Christmas Eve, and at that point it was too late to wait a day and pick it up.

    Not buying from them again.

That weird man. Rob was in constant contact with me. He typically replied to emails within an hour or so. He did send the tracking info the day I got the package, but I live about 2 days away via fed ex... I don't know what that stuff is happening to y'all...

    **update**

Rob finally replied to me. He told me what was going on with the family emergency and I realize why there was a long delay for the replies. He sent them out a couple of days ago but the best part is I got refunded 97.99$$$!!! He is a good guy and I feel bad for harassing him while he was going through a tough time. I would buy from him again... excellent products

I ordered access cab speaker mounts about a year ago and everything arrived quickly. Other than the screws for the front mounts being the wrong threads, everything was good. After reading through these posts, I don't think I will be a return customer though.

I have no idea what he's going through with his family... but he needs to find a way to run his business while he goes through it, or he needs to take a step back from the business and take care of his personal life for a bit. He's losing customers with his slow responses and delayed shipping.

Family emergency is like a universal excuse for "I'm screwing you". No family emergency would make good on him not contacting you back for over 3 weeks. I never believe anyone who says that, 99% of it's total BS.

I finally got my mounts in last week!! and he refunded my whole order. Just wanted to thank Rob for coming through and going the extra mile to make true "custom" speaker mounts. Rob purchased another machine to specifically make my mounts (5.25"). Now Tacoma guys can get 3.5" -8" speakers to fit with the new mounts cutting machine!
