My woman tossed leg quarters in the crockpot yesterday with chicken stock and some water and it pretty much came out like overcooked, texture less boiled chicken.

How much liquid do you add to yours in the crockpot? @yota243

Whenever I cook anything in a slow cooker I never add water since so much condensation builds up and returns to the vessel during to the cooking process. Beer, stock, bouillon, etc. I will use but I try to keep to small amounts. FWIW o_O

Figured as much. She drowned it in liquid. It was filled at least halfway to the lid with stock/water.

I don't add water when crock potting things. A small bed of onions on the bottom will keep the meat from sticking and there is plenty of liquid in the meat and onions already. Try it for yourself you'll be pleasantly surprised by the results!

I had to throw it in a hot cast iron pan to get some of the liquid out of the meat and give it some kind of texture and flavor.

^ thats true, my wife did leg quarters and cream of chicken soup with a can of water but she also put a couple cups of bow tie noodles so they absorbed all the extra moisture
