If you know CAD, you could just send it to OSHCut. If you design it decently, it would be laser cut (holes and outer shape) and then 3 sheet metal bends.

They’re not sitting on them. I ordered two and they were added to my final invoice per Cindy. Send her an email I guess...

They're not anywhere on the website though. I happened to see them on an IG story and asked. Maybe the option to add those is made when you select your build options now.

@mac_2_nite that diagram is the SP bracket lol, Cindy sent me a flyer. But I'm hoping to not pay $50ea, and I need three of them. Did you order them from SP?

I bet you would pay at least that much if you have someone custom fab something.

I've got no clue...never had custom fabrication done before. Was hoping a simple bracket x 3 with a couple bends and holes drilled wouldn't be too much.

I'll take a look at CAD and if I can get a design, I'll get a quote from Oshcut. Thanks for the link @JasonLee

Unless that comes out a lot cheaper I'll probably buck up and go with SP brackets. It's just annoying the mounts could cost half of what I paid for the awning itself.

Yes, up front $50 seems like a lot for a bracket but its "cheap" compared to if you were to make it.
You dont need to spend any of your time messing with dimensions, cutting it, bending it, painting it etc. I worked 4 years in sheet metal / fabrication and now work as an ME so I can tell you this part is about right given the QTY they are making.
I'm sure on their end its a fraction of that, but they are a business and you are getting a sure fit product made in the USA. Businesses need margin, to run the business lol.
Interested to see if you come up with your own, but ordering in small QTY like this will be pricier than $50 plus all your time.

Wouldnt mind seeing a small discount on purchasing QTY 2+ tho. Couple bucks lol

Yeah I need 5 haha, but as it stands now I have stuff just sitting in the garage and don’t feel like getting them made from my usual shop. They’d be more than $50 a pop for sure

I got an email from SP a while back saying the brackets and the molle panels were available. Not sure why you didn’t get one.

i ordered two brackets thinking that would be enough to hold an awning. Something like a FrontRunner, not a 270. Do you guys think that’s enough?

Also, I’ve seen a very light 270 somewhere in this thread, the kind that requires poles (not the heavier Alu-Cab). Do you think two brackets are enough to hold that?

Thanks for the replies all. I'll probably just order the SP brackets, esp if they are in stock.

I have something half designed in freeCad already but the next part, cutting out material from basic shapes would be the hardest, and who knows cost, timelines plus then there is paint and hardware to take care of as well. Agree it's probably not worth the time.

Rick, the awning that I bought (ARB) specified the number of mounts required. If you get into the product specs page of FAQ for the awnings you're looking at they should state the mounting requirements somewhere.

they are emailing people that have orders so if its a past order just hit them up. It was on hold until it was noted by some folks and they starting asking.

i was being cheap and bought a hard panel haha. Didn’t like idea of gluing or adhering direct to the sp roof either. Pros and cons. Now gotta deal with mounting it lol

    or

    https://www.mcmaster.com/5537T271

for outside stuff. Tnutz also has some with different thread sizes for smaller bolts.

the threaded portion is slightly proud when seated in the SP tracks, so either the back half of what you’re mounting needs to be relieved (like ShittCo does) or just file down the face (like my jenky ass did)
